CHATTERBOX RECORDING CLUB - a tape corresponding club that has been
running world wide since the 1960s when it was started by some "Radio
Hams". since then members use more modern technology to communicate with
each other. All you need to get started is a TAPE RECORDER and a
MICROPHONE. we still have some members who use open reel tape recorders.
although the majority of us use a modern day cassette recorder with a built
in microphone. we also have pen pals who write letters and use emails.
For a yearly subscription we offer a directory of members, 4 printed
magazines a year and some Sound Magazines, which is made up from members
own recordings. We also allow folk to communicate in other modern day forms
like email, or writing to pen friends. The main idea of the club is
communication and friendship anywhere in the world, Members are from all
walks of life, and any age. Some of our members have met and married. We
also have some smaller groups "sections" within the club who offer round
robin circults and even some on various types of music. We could do with
some more members, and have a few "house bound" members who enjoy "armchair
travel" and the opportunity to make friends, so disabled folk are also very
welcome to join us. All of our printed material is available on tape for
those who request it. Contact Maureen on 01323 485971 or write to P.O Box
